PLANAR: Over one year after releasing its debut album, the brazilian band Planar is ready for more. "Invasão" was an independent release that followed two EPs and got them signed to the most important rock label in Brazil, led the band to be featured in some of the country's largest TV channels and took them on a tour to several states.
Back in 2014, "Invasão" was voted the second best rock album of the year on UOL, one of the biggest brazilian news portals. It featured songs about love and loss and the fear of taking the next step in life. The relatable lyrics, sung in Portuguese, were accompanied by sometimes heavy and sometimes gentle harmonies and instrumentals. They were influenced by 80s and 90s brazilian music, as well as indie bands from the 00s.
Now, Leonardo Braga (vocals/guitar), Leonardo Villela (bass), Ivan Roichman (drums) and Alan Lopez (guitar) are getting ready for their second album. Although playing abroad for the first time, maturity and growth are words that come to mind when Planarare playing live, and the realization that good rock n' roll comes in all, shapes, sizes and most certainly, in all languages.

JESSE SANTO: Jesse Santo is a composer, producer, vocalist and guitarist. Born in Recife (PE), he is involved with music since he was 13. Back home, Jesse participated in several projects that gave consistence to his career.
He moved to São Paulo in August 2002 to improve and expand his work. He played in bands, now extinct, such as Patois Tronxo (experimental original music) and Xubacca (that mixed Brazilian and American hits in an unique and unusual proposal). Both performed in well known clubs and venues in the São Paulo State scenario, as Na Mata Café and Grazie a Dio.
Jesse has partnered with Jota Erre, Tuto Ferraz, Angela Ennes, Paulo Cesar Carvalho, Bruno Roberti, Felipe Cambero, Beatriz Rodarte, Dandara Modesto, Cristiano Borges and Diogo Poças, with whom he composed the song "Nada Que Te diz respeito” that plays in radio stations throughout the country.
With partner Jota Erre, he produced three CDs: "This" - His own CD, - “Por Extenso" - from Jota Erre - and “Pra Lá de Lá" from Pernambuco singer Fia.
His CD “ Esse " can be defined as a progressive MPB with lyrics that portray a little of the artist’s past. The rhythmic sounds use and transform his Pernambuco origins, such as maracatu and Mangue Beat. The harmony of the music is grounded in pop ballads, although the melody uses elements of melancholy rock influenced by Britpop. All of these very distinct influences and inspiration comes alive on his unique style of songwriting.
